While we know that most MathType users create equations for Microsoft Word documents and PowerPoint presentations, we also know that our customers are working with many other applications and websites these days. They calculate with Excel, Mathematica or Maple, create graphs in DeltaGraph, and compute statistics in SAS or Minitab, find equations on Wikipedia and PlanetMath, to name just a few. They are also working with social software such as blogs, wikis, forums, as well as communicating using instant messaging, email, bulletin boards, etc. While MathType has worked with many of these applications and websites for years, we at Design Science are making a concerted effort to enable MathType users to create equations everywhere and anywhere. MathType Interoperability Registry
This is list of applications and websites that MathType works with. Many of them allow you to create equations using an Insert Object command. Others work with simple cut-and-paste or drag-and-drop. Yet more can accept EPS or GIF equation image files created by MathType. For many of these applications and websites, MathType includes online help pages describing how best to work with it.

• Find Symbols: MathType's Insert Symbol dialog allows you to explore the available symbols and insert them with a click or keystroke.

• Type TeX or LaTeX directly into Microsoft Word: If you already know the TeX typesetting language, you can enter equations directly into Microsoft Word documents. Use the Toggle TeX command (Alt+\) to turn what you typed into a MathType equation. Use it again to edit the TeX language.
